Dr. Richard Bishop is the Servant Leader and Founder of KingdomBelievers Elevation Worship Center.
Spending many nights on his knees from the age of fourteen “Bishop,” as called by many of his friends, began his mission for the Lord. Having been nurtured in the oracles of the Lord at Christ Temple Church in Long Island, New York, he further matriculated and graduated from the O.M. Kelly religious Training Institute of the Church of God In Christ. Bishop earned his undergraduate degrees in Liberal Arts from Nassau Community College in 1985; a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Norfolk State University (NSU) in 2006. In 2008 Bishop began Master's work in Social Work and Urban Studies at NSU and received an Honorary Doctorate in August of 2014.
Bishop believes that the way of life is Jesus Christ himself. He is the way and the truth. His way is outlined in his word, the Bible. In fact, He is the Word, incarnate. His commands are not grievous. The promises therein are consistently fulfilled, thereby imparting to every believer His endless love. His warnings are to be heeded with a passionate fear, knowing that He holds our best interest at heart. His presence is to be acknowledged in every area of our life. It is in Him mankind exists. Because of this, each person chooses his eternal destiny by the way he responds to the oracles of God.
